Fundación PRISMA Danza, under the direction of Ximena Eleta de Sierra and Analida Galindo—both respected figures in the Panamanian dance scene—has successfully produced PRISMA–International Contemporary Dance Festival of Panama for the past five years. The Festival offers audiences a full week of performances, featuring works by local and international choreographers and dancers of a very high level. On its 5th edition, PRISMA reached more than 4,800 spectators through 13 presentations, and projects exceeding 5,000 this year.
The Festival also has a strong educational program parallel to the performances. Each participating dance company holds a master class or workshop as part of their engagement in PRISMA, which the Festival offers to professionals and dance students (adults, youth and children) free of charge.
